What helps before a site visit?

Confirm who can coordinate access, what safety induction or permit process applies, and whether the equipment can be made available for the planned work. The facility’s authorized electrical team should coordinate any isolation and safety controls.

  • Share a site contact and access instructions
  • Flag outage windows or operational constraints
  • Provide relevant drawings, readings or past service notes
  • Keep equipment operation and isolation decisions with authorized site personnel

Start with what you know.

Every service requirement is different. These answers explain how to begin a useful conversation.

What information should I send first?

Start with the equipment type, make/model if known, site city, a short description of the requested work and any clear equipment photos. You can send the remaining details later.

Can I enquire if I do not know the exact fault?

Yes. Describe what you have observed, when it began and whether it repeats. Avoid diagnosing the fault yourself or opening electrical equipment to investigate.

Does an enquiry confirm the work scope or price?

No. The requirement, equipment condition, site needs and any inspection requirements must be reviewed before a final scope or quotation can be confirmed.

What safety information should be shared?

Tell the service team about the site's access, permit, induction and outage coordination requirements. Equipment isolation and work authorization must remain with the facility’s responsible personnel.
